-Locate TangoHcal.r2skin and rename it to TangoHcal.zip
-Extract TangoHcal.zip
-Open skin.xml
-Now locate the entry <calendar> and inside that <today>. You can change the font color under the setting <appearance>.
-Rezip it and rename it back to TangoHcal.r2skin
